### Review: Antepes Muscle Runner – A Game-Changer for Masters Sprinters
After struggling with foot pain and turf toe symptoms while training in traditional track spikes, I found myself in a tough spot. The pain became so severe that I even had to withdraw from the 100m at a recent competition, sticking only to the 50m. I knew I needed something that offered the performance benefits of a spike but without the harsh impact. That’s when I decided to try the Antepes Muscle Runners.
I have been using these for about a month now, and I am genuinely impressed. They feel like high-performance spikes, but they are incredibly kind to my feet. Since switching to these, I have been able to train effectively without putting excessive strain on my soles or causing further shock to my toes. They have truly allowed me to get back to quality training. I am so satisfied with them that I fully intend to keep purchasing this model for my future training sessions.
However, there is one design feature that I believe needs improvement, which I’ve noticed others also mention. There are two protruding "horns" or tabs at the back of the heel. While I assume these were intended to help with pulling the shoe on, they actually get in the way. Instead of helping, they tend to fold inward when I’m putting the shoes on, which becomes quite a nuisance. It would be much better if these were designed as a smooth, rounded loop or a continuous pull-tab instead—that would make the process much easier and more functional.
Aside from that one design flaw, I am beyond satisfied. These shoes have been a fantastic addition to my gear. Highly recommended for any masters sprinter looking to protect their feet while maintaining performance.

The Antepes Muscle Runner has delivered the speed and comfort to my speed training as advertised. The shoes were quick to mold to my feet after only a couple of training sessions, and have felt great during my speed training. I would not use them for long recovery runs but that's not what they are made for anyway. I have noticed faster times during training over my typical sprint distances, and less knee pain compared to previous shoes, likely due to the improvement in form.
These shoes were a game change for me. They have definitely improved my performance in a very short time. I think the full workouts should have a step by step video because the images and description ain't great for a lot of the exercises. I've already went from a 5.7-6.1 40 yard dash to 4.9-5.2 40 yard dash in 4 weeks. Given I use to be extremely fast, this definitely helped me with my form and getting what I lost at a much quicker pace.
If I could, I would give these shoes a 6 star rating. When I ordered my antepes “Muscle Runners” I was expecting shoes for strictly sprinting. I had no idea how great they would also be for High Intensity Training (HIT). They are very light and comfortable and make you feel very springy. Absolute best sports performance shoes I’ve ever had. 5 Stars, 10/10 content. Well done!
Great shoes correct sprinting mechanics and also temp
